One thing I think is safe to say, VT fans in the Blacksburg area, and Tenn fans in the Knoxville area could probably care less. I mean we're right in the middle, so it is important to us, but the rest of Va/Tenn probably dont care. When has Tennessee been approached to play VT, other than the silly notion of playing at BMS? When Miami and Florida State are back to what they once were(and they will be) then I doubt you'll hear anyone complaining about VT's schedule.
TN would rather take their OOC schedule to where they do most of their recruiting...

They recruit everywhere, not just far away. They had a kid from VA get drafted #10 in the draft this year from VA. Another starting at Corner, one from DC starting at LB. They took a walk on rb this year from Alaska. The schedules are set way in advance. One day it'll happen by scheduling or by meeting in a bowl game again. Everybodies gotta have there own deal, I've lived in TN all my life, don't like Orange, don't like Fulmer, heck I hate the actual town of Knoxville, and most of all can't understand the residents that just think there must be a serious mental illness in you if you don't like UT....haha
Damn... VT is 6-15 in bowl games all time. That's gotta suck.
It looks like the Bama game would be a 1-shot deal for the teams, but a fixture for Atlanta (better there than East Rutherford).
